Follow the Sun is a 5x3 meter screen that shows a live stream of a constant sunset using publically accessible live webcams around the world. Every time the sun sets on the screen, the stream switches to a webcam somewhere further west in the world. This way we follow the sun so it will never stop setting.

I have used webcams from surf clubs, hotels, weather stations and other places in Venice, Ibiza, Namibia, Lanzarote, Tenerife, Canada, Florida, Mexico, California, Alaska, Hawaii, Russia, Japan, Australia, Bali, Thailand, Kyrgyzstan and Cyprus.

This project is part of group exhibition (Un)monumenting at NDSM Amsterdam and is funded by Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst.
