Installation for Kaapstad Tilburg

City Lookout (2024) is a kind of birdwatching point, not intended for our feathered friends, but rather the fleshy ones. Through a telescope you look, like a kind of birdwatcher, past the screaming advertisements and faceless crowds of people and you see human kind as the remarkable animal species that he is. I curated four scenes on which the telescopes are fixed, to help the viewer a little bit.
This unique voyeuristic viewing experience invites you to stand still and look at your own kind through a new lens.
