The Netherlands' earth consists of nothing but clay and sand. Still, you find large boulders lying around the countryside. The stones you find here are not Dutch. They came here in the Ice Age from Scandinavia, pushed by large gletsjers.
I want to return one of these stones. In my ongoing quest to bring one to its motherland, I photographed a lot of stones to propose to the municipalities of The Netherlands.
Always with a bottle of water. This is an old geologists trick to get an idea of the scale.
